This Week In Mizzou Football Featuring Markus Golden

The newest edition of “This Week in Mizzou Football” will feature senior defensive end Markus Golden. Golden had four solo tackles and two sacks in last Saturday’s 34-27 victory over Texas A&M.

Golden is a Missouri native who has said numerous times that he grew up wanting to play football at Mizzou. Not only has he reached this goal, but he has separated himself as one of the top defensive ends in the NCAA, too.

While Missouri is still home for Golden, many of his teammates talk about how they came to Mizzou because of the family atmosphere. This family atmosphere is something that Head Coach Gary Pinkel cultivates year after year. Pinkel does many things to further this, including giving “big brothers” to the freshman student-athletes and having family dinners at his house to give the players a chance to get to know one another.

This week’s show will air at 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, on Fox Sports Midwest and again at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, on KOMU. Check GaryPinkel.com every week for updates regarding when and where to watch This Week in Mizzou Football.

Golden and the rest of the Mizzou Family will take on Tennessee in Knoxville this Saturday, November 22. Kickoff is set for 6:30 CT and the game will be broadcast on ESPN. Fans can follow Mizzou Football on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook and listen in via Tiger Network radio affiliates for updates throughout the game.
