In 2020, Coach Pinkel launched the GP M.A.D.E. Foundation Scholarship Program by awarding 24 scholarships to an exceptional inaugural class of students representing a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and dreams for the future. Since inception, 114 scholarships have been awarded to students from 36 Missouri counties.
In 2020, Coach Pinkel awarded 24 scholarships through the GP M.A.D.E. Foundation. This inaugural class of students came from all walks of life. “There were some incredible stories of what some of these kids have had to overcome to get where they’re at and it’s pretty awesome,” Pinkel said.
Following the inaugural class, the GP M.A.D.E. Foundation continued to expand its impact by awarding scholarships to 29 additional students in 2021 and 2022. Between 2023 and 2024, 28 more scholars joined the GP M.A.D.E. family, followed by 15 new recipients in 2025. We are proud to announce that in 2026, the Foundation awarded scholarships to 20 additional students, furthering our commitment to investing in the next generation of leaders, changemakers, and difference-makers.
All recipients have the opportunity to receive up to $8,000 in scholarship funds payable over a 4-year period if they maintain a certain GPA, attend a Missouri school and continue as a student in good standing.
The long-term goal is for the GP M.A.D.E. Foundation to award $2,000/year renewable scholarships annually and continue Making A Difference Every-day.
Scholarship recipients – known as GP M.A.D.E. Scholars – are selected each year by the Scholarship Committee of the Foundation. Recipients will be chosen based on the three criteria listed under Eligibility.
The GP M.A.D.E. Foundation Scholarship awards are up to $2,000 per year.

The GP M.A.D.E. scholarship committee may require an interview with the applicant(s). If needed, applicant(s) will be notified by telephone, email, or letter regarding their interview date and time. All interviews shall be completed prior to the deadline of the award date for the application year.
The GP M.A.D.E. scholarship committee will consider renewing a scholarship for up to four years if the Scholar maintains a minimum 2.0 GPA and is considered a student in good standing. The Scholar will be required to show proof of grades for the school year.
The applicant must be under the age of 20 and a Missouri resident. The scholarship must be used in the state of Missouri for a higher education program, at a trade school or at a college or university. The Foundation will notify the applicant of their award before May 7th. The check will be made payable to the school chosen by the applicant. Any taxes that may be due are entirely the responsibility of the recipient Scholar. Please consult your tax adviser to determine your tax treatment.
