Mizzou Spring Practice: Offensive Line
Mizzou offensive line will bring an extra level of experience and leadership to the Mizzou Football squad this season. This experience should help the Tigers when they kick off their season September 5th in The ZOU.
The o-line’s experience will be crucial to the Mizzou Football family on and off the field. One example of how having an experienced line can help an offense in the game is being able to communicate when a defense switches up their looks. Senior right guard Connor McGovern explains how him and fellow senior center Evan Boehm communicate on the field.
“If a normal person heard it you probably wouldn’t understand what we’re saying” says McGovern, “it’s like grunts and abbreviated words and all that kind of stuff.”
“But we’ve played together for so long, and we know each other to where grunts can be forms of communication for us,” Boehm added.
However they talk, the big boys up front can protect the Mizzou backfield this Saturday, April 18 at 4:00pm for the Black and Gold Spring Game in The ZOU.
