Mizzou Spirit Spotlight: Marisa Arunakul
Marisa Arunakul comes to Mizzou by way of Branson, Mo., and is a junior majoring in biology. Coming from a small town like Branson, Marisa wanted to attend college somewhere that offered the fun of city life but with a similar kind of small-town feel. She found it at Mizzou.
Dance has been a part of her life since she was five years old. When she came to her first Mizzou football game, she saw how much fun the Golden Girls were having and she just knew that it was something she wanted to be a part of.
Her favorite part of game day is at the end of pregame when the intro video begins to play and the smoke starts coming out of the tunnel.
Her favorite single moment is a recent one, Mizzou’s SEC home opener against Florida. Her favorite tradition as far as football is concerned is Homecoming. The passion of Mizzou fans for the parade, all the way up to game time make for an amazing experience.
