Mizzou Ranked in AP Top 25
Mizzou is ranked in the AP Top 25 this week for the first time since September 2011.
The 5-0 Tigers are No.25 in the country this week after cruising in their opening SEC game at Vanderbilt on Saturday night. Missouri topped the Commodores 51-28 in a dominant effort on the road.
With Missouri moving in, the SEC now has seven ranked teams, which matches a record for one league. The ACC and Big Ten have also done it, but no league has done it more than the SEC.
The Tigers ascension to the national rankings suddenly makes next week’s Missouri-Georgia game a top 25 matchup.
Georgia is ranked No.7, down a spot from a week ago after hanging on against Tennessee 34-31 in overtime.
