Mizzou Prepares for Thursday Night Game
City of Columbia to provide free bus service on Nov. 5th and free downtown parking after 4 p.m.
The University of Missouri Department of Athletics is preparing for its Nov. 5thThursday night game against Mississippi State. It will mark the first Thursday night home game for Mizzou since 2009 (Nebraska), and only the third in program history (1992 vs. Colorado).
As Mizzou partners with numerous campus and city entities to make preparations for the game, fans are encouraged to stay up-to-date with the latest information on logistics related to parking, traffic, and all elements of the game, by bookmarking www.mutigers.com/thursday in their browser.
The City of Columbia will provide an outstanding service on game day as all normal COMO Connect city bus routes will run a “free transit day.” The standard football game-day routes will also be running for $1.50 each way (visit www.comoconnect.org/services/football-routes/ for details).
In addition, the city will suspend parking fees at all city-owned meters and parking garages beginning at 4 p.m. on that day.
It is important to note for general public (non-donor) parking, for this game only, spaces will not be available in the Tiger Avenue and Parking Garage #7 structures. The best parking solutions will be to park downtown and use the convenient and affordable transportation provided by the city. All parking on the MU campus will be designated for students, faculty and staff for the evening.
