Mizzou Football’s SEC Network Star

Sophomore cornerback Aarion Penton was outstanding for the Tigers in 2013.

Playing as a true freshman, he racked up 16 tackles in 14 games and intercepted a pass. His stellar play was especially crucial against Florida and South Carolina, when star corner E.J. Gaines was out with an injury and Penton started in his place.

But Aarion might be not the most famous person in his family. That honor, according to Aarion, goes to his younger brother George, who was featured in the “Take It All In” commercial for the SEC Network.

George is seen dancing while fully decked out in Mizzou gear.

“Me and my roommate were in my dorm one day,” Aarion said. “ One of them was like ‘Aarion I think that’s your little brother.” I look up and I just see him cheesing, smiling, dancing and I’m like ‘Yeah that is my little brother.’

While Aarion might not be as popular as his baby brother, the sophomore cornerback from St. Louis said he’s plenty happy with where he is.

“I look at Mizzou as my home,” Aarion said. “I’m in-state and I’m just happy I got the opportunity to stay at home and compete.”

Penton and the Tigers kick off the season August 30 against South Dakota State at 2:30 p.m. on ESPNU. We’re sure baby George will be watching.
