Mizzou Football Defensive Play of the Week

,

It was an explosion of defensive plays on Saturday, as the Mizzou Tigers routed the Kentucky Wildcats in their home territory in a 48-17 win.

Six big defensive names made seven big defensive sacks. Junior defensive lineman Matt Hoch, junior defensive lineman Kony Ealy, junior defensive lineman Markus Golden, senior linebacker Donovan Bonner, junior defensive lineman Lucas Vincent and sophomore defensive lineman Shane Ray each made his own hit on the Kentucky quarterback at least once throughout the game.

As the results show, their defensive plays made a huge impact on the outcome of the game and held the Wildcats to just 17 points total.

Mizzou is now 9-1 and could be lined up for a BCS Bowl. It is an exciting time to be a Tigers fan. Pinkel now has a great defensive power to go with the stellar offense. Fans can look forward to more plays like these if the defensive line continues to show as much aggression and persistence as it did on Saturday.
