Roderick Winters is the latest freshman recruit to join Mizzou’s football team. The 6-foot, 200 pound outside linebacker hails from Arlington, Texas. Both Winters and current Mizzou standout tailback Russell Hansbrough played high school ball at Bowie High School in Arlington. Winters knows exactly why he chose Mizzou.
“They always made me feel like home, especially when I came on my visits, Winters said. “Coach [Dave] Steckel always came out to the house; Coach [Gary] Pinkel always talked to my parents.”
Mizzou will open its season at The ZOU against the South Dakota State Jackrabbits on August 30, with kickoff at 2:30 p.m. CT.
