Mizzou Football Fan in Army Receives Special Gift

Mizzou’s 7-0 start has been a thrill ride for not only fans in Columbia, but for fans all over the world. One of those die-hard Tigers is Lieutenant Bronson Madero. Madero, a 2011 Missouri graduate, is currently stationed in Germany, but that hasn’t stopped him from following every step of the Tigers’ magical run.

To thank Madero for his support and service for our country, defensive coordinator/linebackers Coach Dave Steckel sent him a signed Mizzou flag. Here’s the heartwarming email the lieutenant sent in response:

Coach Stec,

I got back from Mission today and the flag was waiting for me.  It looks amazing I really appreciate everything you did, especially during this phenomenal season you guys are having.  I was actually able to watch your last game against GA live. I am attaching a photo that includes myself (the one in the middle with the tiger hat), and some of the guys from the Troop in front of our strykers.  Everyone loved the flag no matter what school they root for, and they all thought it was a nice gesture.  So again, I thank you and I hope your magical season continues and I will keep watching and rooting!
