COLUMBIA, Mo. – On the second day of 2015 #MIZCamp, the Tigers again worked out in only helmets on the practice fields behind the Mizzou Athletics Training Complex (MATC). The Tigers were up bright and early for the first morning practice of camp. Following practice, assistant coaches and offensive players met with the media.

  • QB Maty Mauk displayed impressive accuracy throwing from the pocket and on the run. In the live team portion, he moved the offense down the field with strong throws and also gained yardage on the ground.
  • QB Eddie Printz connected with WR Nate Brown on a long completion. Brown elevated to pull down the pass, overcoming tight coverage from CB Kenya Dennis.
  • The secondary was active, consistently showing strong coverage skills and recording multiple passes defensed.
  • At the conclusion of practice, Gary Pinkel formally introduced #MizzouMade All-American and recently retired NFL All-Pro Justin Smith, who has joined the coaching staff as a strength and conditioning assistant for Dr. Pat Ivey. Pinkel spoke about how much the team and coaching staff will benefit from someone of Smith’s stature and experience coupled with a #MizzouMade background.
