Mizzou Football Defensive Play of the Week

Mizzou’s senior cornerback E.J. Gaines is the honoree of this week’s Defensive Play of the Week. Gaines got his fourth interception of the season after pressure on the Tennessee quarterback caused an errant throw.

Kony Ealy is able to get through the offensive line and apply the pressure in the backfield. The throw goes to Gaines who is quick to react by getting a respectable return in before being taken out of bounds.

The effort came in Gaines’s first game back from injury. Gaines has played exceptionally well in the first third of the season, and he will look to continue his form as Mizzou heads into the critical month of November.
