Digital Storyteller
Position: Digital Storyteller
Supervisor: Digital Marketing Strategist
Status: Part time, 10-20 hours per week
JOB SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVE
The Digital Marketing Storyteller provides creation and direction in the content creation and stories ofthe GP M.A.D.E. Foundation. Directly manages videos, photos, graphics and other media to promote,
enhance, and connect the foundation to its stakeholders. The Digital Marketing Storyteller works closely with the Strategist to evaluate key performance metrics to optimize the digital media strategy.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Article Writing
- Interviews in person, phone and zoom
- Writing 300-600 word blog posts for the website
- Work with Digital Media Strategist to use consistent keywords to ensure successful branding and SEO
Website Maintenance
- Posting blogs, photos, and updating other content on the GP M.A.D.E. website (WordPress). Prior experience preferred but not necessary.
Content Creation
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite or other design and photography editing tools
- Video capture and editing
- Photo capture and editing
- Creating printed and digital materials for events and brochures (graphics)
- Update primary marketing materials monthly
- Create exclusive messaging for target audiences
Social Media
- Posting regularly
- Engaging regularly
- Maintaining and building followers
- Answering customer questions
Communication/Planning
- Create social media editorial calendar
- Communicate with Digital Media Strategist and Executive Director daily
- Update press kit and communicate with various organizations
- Keep track of current and upcoming events
- Organize documents, photos, videos on Google Drive
- Collaboratively create short- and long-term digital marketing campaigns
Events
- Attend donor and community events to capture content and share stories
- Assist with all technical aspects of events
- Transport, set up and tear down event materials
- Create and send a regular newsletter sharing stories and content via Mailchimp
- Collaborate with Strategist on other email campaign opportunities
