Battle tested, war ready.

That’s the motto of the Mizzou Football program, and this weekend, the team will take those exact words to heart in the Battle Line Rivalry against Arkansas. Mizzou will play its newest SEC rival for the right to stake its claim on the Missouri-Arkansas border in a fierce all-black Nike uniform combination.

In coordination with the Blackout Game, the seniors chose lightweight black pants with gold accents, black jerseys, and glossy black helmets with the chrome tiger head. Fans are also encouraged to wear black to cheer on Mizzou Football in The ZOU this Friday.

The game is also Senior Night, marking the last time that some players will take the field in The ZOU. Even though it will be the last time senior safety Braylon Webb steps onto the field with his fellow captains, his game won’t change — For him, every game is important. “I just want to go out there and do my job,” he said.

The Battle Line Rivalry between Mizzou and Arkansas will take place on Friday, November 28 in The ZOU. Kickoff is set for 1:30 CT and can be seen on CBS. Fans can follow Mizzou Football on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook and listen in via Tiger Network radio affiliates for updates throughout the game.

Mizzou Football will take the field in Knoxville in white anthracite jerseys with tiger-stripe accents and gold lightweight pants. The fierce combination will be topped off with the glossy black helmet with the traditional oval tiger head logo.

“The white and gold uniforms show we mean business,” said senior wide receiver Darius White. “I like the gold pants because it brings out our Mizzou colors.”

Bringing out the Mizzou colors is exactly what Nike did in the 2012 uniform revamp. Nike created a unified gold so that the uniforms throughout all Mizzou sports were the same bold color. They also added anthracite gray into the mix, which has excited players and fans alike.

“I really like Nike because I think it is the best,” said White. “Nike is the way to go.”

Each year at the beginning of the season, the seniors sit down and decide what Nike uniform combination they will wear for each game. With numerous uniform combinations, they have the freedom to be creative with their gear to hype up the players and the fans. Every game day, the Tigers come out in a new high-performance uniform combination, ready to take on their next competitor.

Mizzou Football will be looking sharp as always this Saturday, November 22 when they take on Tennessee in Knoxville. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT and can be seen on ESPN. Fans can follow Mizzou Football on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook and listen in via Tiger Network radio affiliates for updates throughout the game.

Mizzou Football will break out one fan-favorite helmet for the first time this season as they take on Texas A&M on Saturday. The matte black helmet with the oval tiger head logo will be paired with the classic combination of lightweight black pants with gold tiger-stripe accents and white high-performance jerseys with anthracite gold tiger-stripe accents.

This jersey-pant combination has become a favorite Mizzou Football since the new uniform reveal in 2012 when Mizzou partnered with Nike to create a new brand identity.

“I like Nike because of the unique style,” said running back Marcus Murphy. “They are one of the most popular sports brands, so I’m just glad we could be a part of the Nike family. They keep us fresh on gamedays.”

In August, Mizzou Football seniors chose the uniforms for each game from Nike’s high-performance selection. In addition to Mizzou’s traditional black and gold, they also have anthracite gray gear to choose from, which has become a new staple color for the team. The players and fans have completely adopted the fresh update to the uniforms.

Mizzou Football will take on Texas A&M in College Station this Saturday, November 15. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT and can be seen on the SEC Network. Fans can follow Mizzou Football on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook and listen in via Tiger Network radio affiliates for updates throughout the game.

“Those who win in November will be remembered.”

The Mizzou Football family will keep this quote shared with them by head coach Gary Pinkel in mind as they kick off in the first game of the month on Saturday, November 1, in a high-performance Nike uniform combination.

When the Mizzou Football seniors decided on the uniforms for each game of the season back in August, they chose the gold jerseys and lightweight anthracite grey pants for their matchup against the Kentucky Wildcats. The fresh look will be completed with the alternative matte black helmet with the gold tiger head.

“It‘s a unique combination,” says senior defensive lineman Matt Hoch. “Usually you’ll see black on black or gold on black so I really like it. It’s a different look and something that I think will appeal to the fans.”

Since the new Nike uniforms were revealed in 2012, Mizzou Football has had a variety of fierce combinations, and the players love wearing these uniforms just as much as the fans love seeing them.

Kickoff against Mizzou Football’s SEC division rival Kentucky is set for 3 p.m. CT this Saturday, November 1in The ZOU. The game will be broadcast on the SEC Network. Fans can follow Mizzou Football on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook and listen in via Tiger Network radio affiliates for updates throughout the game.

“WE ARE MIZZOU”

“WE CAN’T BE STOPPED”

“WE WON’T BE STOPPED”

You’ll hear these enthusiastic chants this Saturday, October 25 in The ZOU as the Mizzou Football family takes on Vanderbilt in an all-new look.

Markus Golden, Braylon Webb, Bud Sasser and Mitch Morse will walk to the 50-yard line in all grey Nike uniforms for the coin toss before the kickoff of Mizzou’s 103rd Homecoming celebration.

This past August, the Mizzou Football seniors got together to brainstorm the uniform combinations for every game of the season. While Mizzou Nation will be decked out in black and gold for the Tiger Stripe for this weekend’s game, Golden and the other seniors chose the new anthracite grey look to give the fans something fresh to see on the field.

Mizzou will be decked out in the matte black helmet with the gold tiger head, the team’s alternate helmet, for the first time in 2014.

“We got the grey on grey this week,” says Golden. “We’re going to be looking fly out there for the fans. I can’t wait for everybody to see it. It’s just a different swag to Mizzou.”

No matter what the Tigers are wearing, though, what they truly care about inside is whom they are playing for.

“It’s a family environment,” says Golden. “You’re playing for your brothers. You’re playing for your coaches. You’re playing for the fans. We got great fans. On game day, it will be crazy.”
